Stadium Pulse is a brand new feature in College Football 25. Well, they’re all brand new features considering the game has been on a ten year hiatus. As you can see, home field advantage is definitely a real thing that aligns with real world results. Alabama, LSU, Ohio State and Georgia are almost always in the hunt for a national championship. That said, schools like Texas A&M might not have been that good, but that hasn’t made their fans any less enthusiastic.
There are a number of different things that influence these rankings, but the impacts on the field are easy to observe for visiting teams. As you the crowd roars in the game you’ll see the Stadium Pulse meter start to move higher and it can make your quarterback rattled, or unable to see passing routes clearly.
During the pre-snap, play art will change, player icons will switch around and disappear. It can make getting a play off the ground incredibly hard, mimicking the pressure packed situation of playing in a hostile environment. Other aspects of the game are impacted as well. Stadium Pulse has a large impact on kicking in College Football 25.
Though not all players succumb to the pressure. Especially if they have any of the abilities that allow them to play through the noise and distraction. Abilities like Road Dog (Composure Increase), Headstrong (Protects Against Stadium Pulse Effects), or Winning Time & Clear Headed (Protect from composure loss) allow your team to execute plays regardless of the road conditions.
If you’re heading to any of these hostile stadiums there’s not much you can do to avoid the pitfalls of playing with a maxed out stadium pulse aside from calming the crowd down by scoring and moving the ball.
