Black Ops 6 Beta: How to Play and Get Early Access

With the highly anticipated release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 slated for October 25, 2024, eager fans are itching to get a taste of the action ahead of time through the Open Beta. This exciting opportunity allows players to dive into the new multiplayer features, test out fresh maps, and experience the revamped movement mechanics before the game officially launches.

Black Ops 6 Beta Dates

So, how exactly can you join the Black Ops 6 Open Beta and get an early peek at what’s in store? While an official start date for the beta has not yet been announced, it’s expected to kick off in the fall, likely in late September or early October. This timeline aligns with previous Call of Duty Open Betas, such as the MW3 Open Beta, which typically launched about a month before the full game release.

Unlike previous years where PlayStation owners enjoyed early access privileges, the Black Ops 6 beta will be available simultaneously across all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. This means that regardless of your preferred gaming platform, you’ll have equal opportunity to jump into the action as soon as the beta goes live.

The best part? The Black Ops 6 Open Beta is entirely free to play on all platforms. There’s no need to pre-order the game to gain access to the beta; simply download it from your platform’s store once it becomes available. Whether you’re a seasoned Call of Duty veteran or a newcomer to the franchise, everyone can join the beta and experience the adrenaline-pumping gameplay firsthand.

However, if you’re eager to get a head start and secure your spot in the beta ahead of time, pre-ordering any version of Black Ops 6 will grant you early access. While the exact duration of early access has not been disclosed, pre-ordering ensures that you’ll be among the first to dive into the action and explore all the exciting new additions to the game.  Once you’ve pre-ordered, you’ll receive a code that allows you to download the beta before it officially launches on storefronts. This exclusive perk gives you the opportunity to be one step ahead of the competition and familiarize yourself with Black Ops 6 before its widespread release.

According to the Call of Duty site, every version of Black Ops 6 (Digital or Physical) will get early access to the Black Ops 6 Beta.  This includes those who are subscribers to certain game pass tiers:  Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass PC, and Game Pass Console).  For those that purchase the game from a retailer of the physical editions of the game, you will get a beta code at the point of sale.  For those that pre-order digitally, you will automatically be able to access the Open Beta.

Whether you choose to pre-order or wait for the free Open Beta, one thing is certain: Call of Duty fans are in for an exhilarating ride with Black Ops 6. Stay tuned for official dates and content details as more information becomes available, and get ready to join the battle when the Open Beta launches across all platforms.
